FLORIDA OPPORTUNITY SCHOLARSHIP

The Central Florida Gator Club proudly joins Billy Donovan and President Machen in supporting the Florida Opportunity Scholarship. This program aids students who have outstanding academic achievement and have been accepted to the University of Florida; however, neither parent holds a bachelor degree and their annual household income falls below an established level (last year the average household income was $24,000). The Central Florida Gator Club strives to make at least a $15,000 donation on a yearly basis to this program.

LOCAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The Central Florida Gator Club offers scholarships to students in Orange, Seminole and Osceola county that will attend the University of Florida. We feel it is important to support the Young Adults in our community and aid them in their future success.  Our Scholarship Committee will consist of University of Florida Alumni that will process all applications and select the recipients.  Requirements and Applications can be found on our website during our application period.

OUTREACH

The Central Florida Gator Club created an endowment to support Outreach initiatives in the Central Florida area. The OUTREACH program provides an opportunity for the University to share the excitement and intellectual quality of its campus with alumni and friends everywhere and to demonstrate that our University is indeed a statewide and nationwide resource. Here is your chance to talk with some of Florida’s leaders in education, science and dozens of other fields without leaving your hometown. Do you have an idea for an Outreach topic? GATORS FOREVER – Drive for 500

The Central Florida Gator Club has joined the GATORS FOREVER – drive for 500. Gator Boosters, Inc. has set an ambitious goal to fully endow Athletic scholarships. The GATORS Forever program is the first step toward reaching this goal. The Central Florida Gator Club has committed to $100,000 to be paid over 7 years. When you support an athletic endowment, you give student-athletes something they might not have otherwise had, a shot at a top-quality University of Florida education. Funding an endowment is also one of the most significant ways to insure the future success of the university’s athletic program.

BULL GATOR

The Central Florida Gator Club holds a Bull Gator membership. This is another way we can support the University of Florida Athletics Program through our donation as a Bull Gator. In addition, our tickets our raffled off to our membership to help raise money for the many programs we support monetarily.

Initiatives we have supported in the past:

• Faculty Challenge Initiative: The Central Florida Gator Club Faculty Support Fund and pledged $100,000. It was the first endeavor of its kind from any Gator Club.
